Activities

Waarbeke is the smallest sub-municipality of Geraardsbergen, beautifully situated in the south of East Flanders on the border with Flemish Brabant.

From this authentic village you can take beautiful walks (walking junction 56 is nearby) towards the Dender Valley or the Pajottenland. The Raspaillebos with nature education center De Helix and the provincial domain De Gavers are nearby. A beautiful wooden path walk has been created in the De Nuchten nature reserve.

Cyclists (junction 68 – East Flanders) can enjoy themselves endlessly, with the Bosberg (Galmaarden), the Muur (Geraardsbergen) and the Congoberg (Vollezele, cradle of the Brabant draft horse) nearby.

Half an hour’s drive away you will find one of the world’s most beautiful zoos: Pairi Daiza.
